We have compiled this guide to present some of our favorite places to eat in the Orlando area. Typically these are restaurants with great food that have been go-to’s for us when the Slingshot wheels are turning around the City Beautiful, aka Orlando. I would like to highlight that there are numerous restaurants in Orlando just as good, but these are five of our favorites. If it were a top ten list, then of course an additional five noteworthy choices could be added. Unfortunately only five made the list on this blog post. #1 Yard House
This American-Fusion restaurant not only serves delicious food but also has the world’s largest selection of handcrafted and imported well beers. The environment is inviting and the bartenders are usually socially engaged while creating great drinks for all those interested. The overall atmosphere is fun as it is in a frequently traveled area of international drive. I would suggest giving them a try as they are moderately priced and the food is generally very good.

#2 Tori Tori
We ranked this trendy Japanese bar spot based mainly on the sheer overall environment. This doesn’t exclude the food at all. Plates are generally served in smaller portions but are remarkably good. This restaurant is only ranked #2 on our list because of the fact that portion sizes make meals a bit less than a full entree. The menu Items are all modern Japanese bar food and extremely savory. Besides that fact, Tori Tori creates some of the best cocktails in Orlando. With this being said please remember to drink responsibly if you are driving. If you add these cocktails together along with a nice upscale social environment, the end result is collective happiness. We can speak from experience so take our word for it. #3 Santiago’s Bodega
This hidden gem is a relatively small establishment with some of the best Tapas menu items around Orlando. An exclusive bar with incredible food. Santiago’s Bodega is a spot where you feel at home and very comfortable. The service is great and the cocktails are a strong upside adding value to its modern, relaxed, and fun social vibe as well. They also have a brunch buffet menu that is “Top Notch” so If you like good food in an exclusive atmosphere then this is the place for you to visit along your tour of Orlando.

#4 JazTro By Chef D.O.C.
This relatively new restaurant is owned by one of Orlando’s finest, Chef Danny Otero. He is an executive chef that sharpens his craft daily thus creating the most delicious Latin and multicultural fusion meals ever put together in the Orlando area. Chef Danny has been creating meals with a distinct urban flare mixed with Caribbean flavors and American fare for many years. This combination of goodness will leave you stunned and ready to order more food. It will be one of those moments when you say “I’m so full, but I can’t stop eating”! This establishment is one of the best barbecue spots in town to catch a bite on the way to/ from Orlando International Airport. They are located about 5 minutes from OIA so make sure to stop in and enjoy some good food along with a cold beverage after your arrival in the Orlando. There are many barbecue spots in Orlando but this is the only one that specialize in smoked meats, non- meat alternatives, and the best brisket in the Orlando area. They have a full beverage menu to help you wash down that backyard barbecue flavor. There is also freshly made deserts so make sure you come with an empty stomach as Uncle Tony’s Backyard Barbecue is sure to please.
